At Kate Ellard Interiors, every project is managed to the last careful detail. Our aim is for you to share your vision with us and to sit back while the ground work takes place and the transformation takes shape. Our breath of experience and network of contacts allows our clients to access the best design concepts, building crafts and beautiful, luxurious materials.
When we first get an enquiry, most people are curious to understand the steps involved. Our typical interior design consultancy process includes 3 stages:
- In becoming a Kate Ellard Interiors client, you will get a personally tailored service and an end design solution that suits your life needs. The first step is a consulting session, where we can discover what you want to achieve and start to consider the potential design direction, building work required and materials that would help us reach that vision. During this session, we ask lots of questions in order to gain an understanding of how you currently use the space vis-a-vis how you would ideally like to use it. From here, based on your likes and dislikes, Kate and the team can start to develop some unique concepts that will enable you to get the most out of your space.
- After the first meeting, Kate will then start on the phase of design planning and, thereafter, will provide you with a follow-on project consultation. This includes a presentation of initial recommendations (typically via mood boards) and a showcase of selected sample materials to help bring the fuller design picture to life for you. Once you’re ready to move forward, a comprehensive measurement of the project space is taken so we can move on to developing the project proposal.
- The next step is to produce a design proposal for you that further visualises the proposed work, while detailing the estimated costs involved. We find this is a really key step in the process so you, the client, feels very confident and excited about the design direction we’re taking. Every proposal is delivered to you in a hard copy and soft copy presentation format for your review and records. Thanks to the advice of our printer suppliers PCI Group, our Develop colour-laser printer allows us to provide you with the highest-quality, and colour-accurate proofs so you know how each room or element of your space is planned to look.Once you approve the final detailed plans, the transformation begins! For you, there’s no instance of having to ensure builders arrive on-site on time, work to the highest standards, query quotes or chase stock shipments. Our job is to manage all of those elements, while including you in key decision areas, to make sure the headaches are removed and a beautifully-finished end result is delivered.
